A home watch service is a professional service that monitors vacant or seasonal properties so they stay in good condition while the owner is away. Burger Reserve Home Watch makes scheduled weekly or bi-weekly visits to check for problems such as temperature and humidity changes, leaks, mold, pests and security concerns like piled-up mail.

The founder and owner conducts every home visit personally and brings four tools to each one:

  • Infrared thermometerConfirms the A/C is working properly.
  • Moisture meterConfirms whether water is present.

A complete check, not a quick walk-through

Some home watch visits are a few minutes with a bag of keys, looking for the obvious. Burger Reserve Home Watch does a complete check of your home or condo so a small issue does not become a disaster. Every visit follows the same route.

  1. Upon arrival

    Grounds, landscape, sprinklers, mail, roof line, screens, windows and A/C units, then water on and alarm off.

  2. Interior check

    Doors and windows, signs of water or mildew, every fixture cycled, water heater, A/C and humidity, fridges, breaker panels and garage. Dishwasher and washing machine run on a quick cycle, toilets checked and cleaned (see link below for complete example list of items checked).

  3. Lanai and pool

    Water level and condition, pool equipment and control panel, screen door, screening and cage.

  4. Departure

    Look, listen, lock. Security system on, doors locked, water supply off.
